Dyslexia Solutions Training Services
The current approach is to view dyslexia as a social difficulty and not a medical problem (which is typically how it was seen in the past). All our training focuses on the positive aspects of the social model, with the aim of enabling adult dyslexics to attain their full potential. The strengths of dyslexic employees are demonstrated and an important element of the training is to show that what is good for dyslexics is good for everyone – by creating an inclusive learning or working environment all students and employees benefit.
We have experience of training for colleges, training providers, public services, workplaces and charities
Three broad training approaches can be identified:
Awareness Raising
Dyslexia is complex and there are many misunderstandings surrounding it. Awareness training aims to explore both the positive aspects of dyslexia that are often ignored and the range of difficulties that may be experienced by dyslexic adults.
Support Strategies
At college, at home or in the workplace there are very many effective strategies and techniques that can make a significant difference to people’s lives. Small changes can make a big difference.
Towards Independence
Encouraging dyslexic adults to become independent learners is of paramount importance. This training explains and demonstrates a system of modeling and mentoring that eventually leads to independence.
Training's are always tailored to individual needs.
